How to Manage Cheques in Farm Focus with Invoices (Australian clients)

When a cheque is written, you can create a manual invoice using the + Record function on the Invoices section of the Needs Action screen.

Here’s how to handle it:

1. Create a manual Invoice: Use the cheque date as the invoice date. Set the due date to the date you expect the cheque to be presented at the bank.

2. Match the Invoice: Once the cheque has been presented and the payment has been processed, match the invoice with the corresponding bank transaction.

Benefits of Using Invoices in Farm Focus:

• Track Cheques and Payments: The invoice will stay in the Needs Action section until it’s matched with the bank transaction, helping you track when a cheque has been presented or payment processed.

• Current Month view in your Working Plan: The coded invoice will be included in your ‘Current Month’ view of your Working Plan, ensuring you have the latest revision.

• Cashflow Management: Use the Daily Bank Balance function to keep track of your cashflow and manage your finances effectively.
