How to Troubleshoot Invoice Scanner Errors

Occasionally, you may receive an email from the Invoice Scanner alerting you to an issue with an invoice sent to your farm business. Below are common errors and the steps to fix them.

The Invoice Scanner received an email with no attachment

Solution:
Resend the email, ensuring that the correct file(s) is attached.

The Invoice Scanner received an email with an invalid attachment

Solution:
Ensure the file type is supported. Accepted file formats are .pdf, .jpg, and .png.

The Invoice Scanner detected mapping errors

Solution:
Click the Review document here link in the email to open the document in the Invoice Scanner mapping screen. Correct any mapping errors before the invoice can be moved to the Needs Action screen of your farm business.

IMPORTANT: The link is active for 72 hours. If you do not click it within this time, you will need to resend the document.

You may also receive this email if you clicked Clear all data in the Invoice Scanner mapping screen. In this case, you can ignore the email.

Messages in Farm Focus

If you see an error message in Farm Focus, it may be because you exited the mapping screen by closing your browser window instead of clicking Save. This leaves the Invoice Scanner in an ‘edit’ state that will expire after 30 minutes.

Solution:
To prevent this issue, always click Save before exiting the screen.

NOTE: The error review email link is valid for 72 hours.
If more than 72 hours pass, you’ll need to resend the invoice to get a new link.
