Signing Up for Focus Advantage

Steps to Sign Up

1. Log in to Farm Focus if you are an existing Farm Focus user.
2. Click Start New and select either 1 Year 
3. Complete the form as required
4. On the Set Up Direct Debit screen, enter ADVANTAGE in the coupon code field and click Apply.
   • Once applied, your plan summary total will be $0.00 NZD.
   • Click Apply to activate the coupon.

Not a Farm Focus User?

You will need to sign up as a new user.  Learn more.

Follow the process and you will land on the purchase page (Step 2 above) once you have confirmed your email address.

Setting Up Your Working Plan

Planning your farm’s finances can feel overwhelming, but Focus Advantage simplifies financial analysis.

The Working Plan (your main budget) consists of three key elements:

• Cashflow – Tracks dollar values.
• Livestock Grid – Monitors stock quantities.
• Dairy Forecaster – Focuses on milk production for this season (Dairy only).

Scenario Planning & Baseline Budgets

• Create draft budgets for different scenarios.
• Label each draft with a description to keep track of variations.
• Once finalised, promote your preferred scenario to your Working Plan.
• Save a read-only baseline version to track performance throughout the year.

Why Save a Baseline?

• Helps monitor deviations and actual performance over time.
• Enables you to generate reports like Variance or Year-to-Date (YTD) Comparisons.
• If submitting plans to a bank, save a baseline copy for reference.
  • Later, you can compare actual results to projected figures for future financial discussions.
• Next year, use your actuals from this year as a guide for budgeting.
