Farm Focus is available to farmers in both Australia and New Zealand, but there are a few key differences between the two versions of the database. These differences are tailored to meet the unique requirements of each country’s agricultural practices and financial systems.

In Australia, you will notice the following differences:

• Code Templates:
  A wide variety of code templates, customised with Australian terminology, are available.
• Australian Domain:
  Use the Following domain: farmfocus.com.au
• Australian Time Zones:
  Select the most appropriate time zone for your State, ensuring any nightly jobs are run at the appropriate local time for Australian customers.
• Subscription Payments:
  Australian clients must pay for their subscriptions via credit card, as Direct Debit is not offered.
• Bill Payment Feature:
  The Bill Payment feature is unavailable in Australia.
• Invoice Scanner:
  The Invoice Scanner is accessible to Australian users.
• Farm Business Information:
  When completing their Farm Business information, Australian clients will need to provide their State.
• GST Reporting:
  Australian clients complete a GST worksheet, which they then transfer to their BAS (Business Activity Statement) for filing with the ATO (Australian Tax Office). Direct ATO filing is not supported
  • The GST rate is set at 10%.
  • The end of the Financial Year is set as June 30.
• Terminology Differences:
  Some terminology used in Farm Focus differs between Australia and New Zealand:
  • GST (Goods and Services Tax) is replaced with ABN (Australian Business Number).
  • Inland Revenue is replaced with ATO (Australian Tax Office).
  • GST Return is referred to as BAS (Business Activity Statement).
