How to set up bank account details and overdraft in Farm Focus

Setting up a Bank Account

Login to Farm Focus

1. Go to Bank Accounts

   • Click Settings.

   • Select Bank accounts.

2. Add a Bank Account

   • Click Add bank account.

1. Enter Bank Account Details

   • Select your bank from the drop-down list.

   • Enter your account number and name.

2. Set an Account Short Name

   • The Account short name is a helpful abbreviation for use in the Activity and Planning screens.

3. Record the Opening Balance

   • Choose the start date for the opening balance:

     • At the start of your financial year.

     • The day the bank account was opened.

   • TIP: Click on the calendar to change the opening balance start date.

Setting Up Overdraft Details

1. Enable Overdraft

   • If the bank account has an overdraft, tick the box This account has an overdraft.

2. Enter Overdraft Information

   • Enter the overdraft limit and interest rate for the applicable years.

3. Optional

   • If you enter interest rates for future years, the system will automatically calculate overdraft interest in future plans.

TIP: Regularly review and update your bank account and overdraft settings to ensure your financial data stays accurate.
