InformationArticle DetailQuestionHow do I set up my workspace for Consolidated Reporting?AnswerAllow approximately one hour to complete this process, depending on how many farms you have to map.Your workspace must be validated by our team before you can proceed. If you complete the setup in the evening or over the weekend, you will need to wait until the next business day for validation before continuing. Step 1: Create your workspace A workspace is where all your farms will live. From here, you create a code list and map your farm codes to a workspace code list so that the information in the reports you run is meaningful. Log into Farm FocusFrom the top left of the screen where you see your farm name click on this drop down and select start new.Choose Create workspace from the blue tile on the bottom right. Step 2: Select the correct Workspace type Choose the workspace type that aligns with your role: Accountants, Consultants, and Bankers Select the workspace type appropriate to your profession.Complete the setup process for your firm’s workspace. Multi-farm operators We do not yet have a dedicated workspace type for multi-farm operators. For now, select “Consultancy” as the workspace type.Set Workspace visibility to Private.(This ensures your workspace is not searchable by other users.)We will introduce a dedicated workspace type for multi-farm operators in the future. Step 3: Wait for Workspace verification Once you have completed setup: Your workspace will be reviewed and validated by our team. You cannot proceed until verification is complete. Step 4: Request access to farms After your workspace has been verified: Request access to the farms you want to include in your consolidated report. You will need to use the farms sub admins email address. The farm needs to accept the workspace request before you can map to the workspace code list. Step 5: Create a Workspace code list In the left-hand navigation menu, locate “Code lists.”Create a workspace code list appropriate to the farms you are reporting on. You can go back and edit this code list at any time. This code list determines: The structure of your consolidated report. The codes that appear in the report. Step 6: Map farms to the Workspace code list Once your workspace code list is created: Map each farm to this list. When mapping you can select multiple codes at once and map these to an individual codes if that makes more sense to the level you want to report on.This mapping ensures the report makes sense and compares like with like. Important notes: Farm codes with an exact category and code, will map to your workspace code list. You will need to manually map any remaining unmapped codes. You can still run a consolidated report with some unmapped codes, but the report may not make as much sense.
